Offline dictation for Windows with local Whisper models
Secretary42 for Windows x64 turns speech into text with whisper.cpp on your computer and pastes the transcript into the active application. No cloud transcription or Python setup is required.
System-wide voice typing
Use a customizable global hotkey to record a short dictation, then paste the local transcript into editors, browsers, email clients and other Windows applications. If direct paste is not available, Secretary42 leaves the text on the clipboard so it is not lost.
Local engine, selectable models
The Windows build bundles the whisper.cpp command-line and server engines plus FFmpeg. Download a quantized model from Tiny through Large v3, choose the speed-and-accuracy trade-off that fits the computer, and keep model files and transcription history locally.
Clear limits
- No cloud-transcription fallback.
- No AI text rewriting or agent commands.
- No meeting recording or speaker diarization.
- Licensing, downloads, updates, checkout, support and optional diagnostics remain separate online flows.
